In 2020 we lost about 40% of our crop thanks to a Mother’s Day freeze. We made the difficult decision to purchase fruit from some friends across the Commonwealth and Justin wanted to try his hand at a completely new varietal from what we grow here. He decided to source Viognier grapes from Zephaniah Farm Vineyard in Loudoun County, VA. Viognier is one of the most popular white varietals grown in Virginia, and we are excited to share our first one with you!
This is 100% Viognier was fermented and aged in neutral barrels, allowing the fruit to really shine. It has the aromas of peaches and mangoes, with undertones of rose petals and honeysuckle. It also just won a gold medal at the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition!
Only 150 cases were produced of this wine, and it is a Club Member exclusive for purchase.Shop Online
