About Rosemont of Virginia
Tucked along the serene shores of Lake Gaston in southern Virginia, Rosemont of Virginia is a family-owned estate winery dedicated to crafting premium wines from estate-grown fruit. Since opening in 2007, the Rose family has continued a proud agricultural tradition that dates back to the 1850s—now rooted in the vineyard rows instead of tobacco fields.
Every bottle of Rosemont wine is produced on-site, from budbreak to bottle, using grapes grown on our 450-acre farm. With a focus on small-batch winemaking, sustainable vineyard practices, and Southern hospitality, Rosemont offers guests an authentic and welcoming experience in Virginia wine country.

Rosemont is the name of the original Rose family farm, purchased in 1858.

Winemaking Philosophy
We feel it’s important to express our unique terroir of Southern Virginia and we like to highlight those features using minimal manipulation in the Winery.
To do this we utilize gravity to achieve our minimalistic approach with a state of the art, gravity flow designed production space. Our climate and soil allow us to produce white wines that are aromatic with a balance of fullness and acidity. Our red wines are complex, again balancing bold flavors while still maintaining varietal characteristics.

2022 Extra Brut Sparkling White
Our Extra Brut Sparkling White with Zero Dosage. Aromas of white peaches and grapefruit with bright acidity.
2023 Extra Brut Sparkling Rosé
A Sparkling Rose’ with Zero Dosage, also known as Brut Nature. Flavors of strawberries, grapefruit, and cranberries with bright acidity.
2024 Traminette
A dry white wine with aromas of grapefruit, green papaya, and lemon. Light bodied with a clean finish.
2024 Rosé
A dry, elegant Rose’ with aromas of wild mountain strawberries and grapefruit.
Virginia Red
A classic red table wine, medium-bodied with aromas of red plum, cranberry cocktail, and cedar that lead to a lingering fruit finish.
2022 Cabernet Franc
This Cabernet Franc boasts aromas of black cherries, plums, tobacco, and a hint of white pepper.
Vermouth
A small-batch, handcrafted sweet Vermouth produced in partnership with Capitoline Vermouth.
2022 Kilravock
Our signature red blend with aromas of bright cherries, cedar box, and graphite. Well balanced with velvety, lingering tannins, this is a wine to hold onto for years to come.
